The Beskids are one of the favorite destinations for cyclists. The cycling routes here are diverse. In the beautiful natural surroundings, both amateurs and professionals with tens of thousands of kilometers under their belts can enjoy cycling.
Cycling is one of the popular activities among Poles. This is evidenced by the continuously increasing number of cycling paths in cities, as well as numerous bike rental shops in tourist towns. If you come to Wisła in spring or summer, you may be surprised by the variety of bikes available for rent and the ease of finding them.
But there's nothing unusual about that. Silesian Beskids is the youngest mountain range in Poland, characterized by very diverse trails. So, those who love gentle ascents and those who enjoy steep descents will both be satisfied.
Where to start looking for a mountain biking trail?
Bike-Friendly Hotel
When coming to the mountains for an extended period, it's essential not only to plan biking routes but also to find suitable accommodation, which is crucial for recovery. In this case, it's not only about a comfortable bed and a tasty, nutritious breakfast but also a spa area where you can find a moment of relaxation.
Using a sauna is undoubtedly worth it, as it wonderfully regenerates muscles and purifies the body. Moreover, it has been scientifically proven that regular sauna visits improve the body's efficiency, and the heart rate returns to its resting value more quickly. While in our intimate spa area, you can also enjoy a jacuzzi and a salt cave.
In the hotel, we also have a special lockable room where you can store your bike, and this facility is provided free of charge.
Check the current hotel packages and take a look at our new rooms.
Bike Rental in Wisła Malinka
If you've arrived in Wisła without a bike, all is not lost. Almost every corner offers bike rentals, including electric bikes. In Wisła Malinka, on road 942, you'll find several such places. When you leave Hotel Vestina, simply cross the street to rent a bike, and you can also get a helmet and protective gear. Many of these places also offer bike servicing. Before hitting the road, make sure to check the bike's technical condition, brakes, and lights. Safety is an absolute priority, so it's also a good idea to bring a small first-aid kit.
Of course, it's essential to match not only your fitness level but also the bike to the trail. Fortunately, in the Beskids, there are trails for those with cross bikes, trekking bikes, or MTBs.
Mountain Biking Trails in the Beskids for Kids
Silesian Beskids offer trails of varying difficulty levels. Here, you'll find easy routes suitable for family trips, as well as trails that require more experience.
A popular route starting right next to our hotel is the trail through Cieńków. Since the route is easy, families with children should be able to handle it. However, keep in mind that there is a challenging uphill section, which you can potentially overcome by taking the cable car, which operates there.
One of the more enjoyable cycling routes is the asphalt road Czarną Wisełką, which runs right along the stream. The route also serves as a nature trail to Barania Góra. You'll be cycling through the forest the whole time, and the ascent is not steep. If the youngest cyclist gets tired at some point, you can take a break and enjoy the sound of the water and the beauty of the tall, green trees. The scenery is like from a fairy tale, so we highly recommend it!
Mountain Biking Trails in the Beskids for Advanced Cyclists
A slightly longer route for more experienced cyclists leads to Malinowska Skała. The approach from Przełęcz Salmopolska is relatively easy, and the views of the Silesian Beskids are simply beautiful. However, be sure not to go there during the peak tourist season when mountain biking is most enjoyable.
If you're looking for the perfect route for yourself, we recommend visiting: Traseo, MTB Beskidy, and Rowerem pod górkę.
Beskids' cycling trails will delight you year-round, and the diverse terrain ensures enjoyment for both amateurs and cycling enthusiasts during multi-hour rides. Welcome to Wisła!
